MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MARCH 24, 1999
PUBLIC
HEARING -
SECOND HAND
GOODS
DEALERS
LICENSE -
Scalze asked if the outlot shown on the plat was intended to remain open
space. The city Administrator indicated that the intent is that the outlot
would be held in common by all 14 lots. The outlot would remain open
space and it would not be possible for the outlot to go tax forfeit without
each of the lot also going tax forfeit. Appropriate deed restrictions would
be placed on the properties to ensure this situation.
Steve Jerry, Lake Vadnais Church, expressed concern that initial plat
submittals may include some of the church property with the Twin Lake
Pines plat. Jerry reported that there was a different in survey opinions
between the church's survey and the Pratt survey of 48 to 50 feet. Jerry
wanted to ensure that none of the church property was a part of the plat.
The City Attorney was asked to comment on this issue when the plat
comes back for consideration by the Council on April 27`h.
The City Administrator reported that once a plat is approved by the City,
the County Surveyor would review the plat. Before the plat could be
recorded, survey information would be verified by the County Surveyor.
Jerry reported that the attorney representing the church will review the plat
prior to the April 27th meeting to determine if the discrepancy still exists.
There was no one else from the general public present wishing to
comment on this matter.
Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 99 -3 -64 - CONTINUING THE PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE TWIN LAKE PINES PRELIMINARY PLAT
UNTIL THHAPRIL 27, 1999 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AS
REQUESTED BY MR LEN PRATT
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Scalze, Fahey.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
Fahey opened the public hearing to consider the application for Second
Hand Goods Dealers License requested by Woods & Water Once Again
for 2900 Rice Street.
Mr. Dick Enrico appeared before the Council requesting approval of the
license. Enrico reported that he started the Second Wind Exercise
Page 128
