Maternowskii <br />Re: Schnitzer Site Group 4 <br />vs. City of Little Canada <br />Our File No. 9236 <br />lkkpeepe <br />(651) 222.2541 <br />Facsimile <br />(651) 2234259 <br />Dear Mr. Maternowski: it <br />Based on your earlier statement'that Exhibit No. 4 to your <br />letter of February 5, 1999, is the only evidence of the City of <br />Little Canada's connection with the Schnitzer scrap yard, the <br />City has once again directed us to inform you that the City is <br />not a ^responsible person^ relative to the Schnitzer scrap yard. <br />Therefore, the City rejects the offer of settlement in your <br />letters of February 5, 1999, March 18, 1999, and April 8, 1999. <br />In the event your investigation reveals any additional <br />information relating to the City's Connection with the scrap <br />yard, whether by testimony of Schnitzer yard employees or <br />Schnitzer bookkeepers, or any other testimony, would you please <br />provide to us copies Of that additional information and the names <br />and locations of Schnitzer employees,,, bookkeepers or other <br />witnesses who will testify as to the4City's connection with the <br />scrap yard. <br />3 <br />without such additional information, the City's position as <br />set forth in the enclosed copy of our letter of March 1, 1999, <br />remains unchanged. <br />Page 152 <br />P. 2 <br />
