In our conversation you <br />indicated that the only documentation or evidence that the City <br />of Little Canada was in any way invo1vcc in the operation of the <br />Schnitzer scrap yard, 2703 Territorial .Road, St. Paul; Minnesota, <br />was the document you attacthod as Exhibit. NNO. 4 to your letter of <br />February 5, 1999. <br />• Exhibit No. 4 appease to be a copy of a receipt No. F09338 <br />of Schnitzer Iron & Metal. Co., dated either June 11, 1979, or <br />possibly June 11, 1974, indicating in tthci "Name" portion of the <br />receipt "Little Canada". This receipt ,r;>pears to reference the <br />payment of $55.80 for 558 batteries at .. unit price of $.10. <br />Eased on your statement: that Exhibit NO. 4 is the only <br />evidence of the City of Litsle Canada' connection with the <br />Schnitzer scrap yard, the c :: ty has direc:.Ueu us to inform you that <br />the City is not a "respons;ile person" :relative to the Schnitzer <br />scrap yard, and, therefu, the City ri r.ct:o' the offer of <br />settlement in your letter: oC February E: 1999. <br />Page 154 <br />
