MAR -05 -1999 10:54 <br />NAC 612 595 9837 P.02/06 <br />City of Little Canada, Minnesota <br />Ordinance <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 900 OF THE LITTLE CANADA CITY CODE, <br />KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY PROVIDING FOR A SECOND INDUSTRIAL <br />DISTRICT THAT INCLUDES AGGREGATE MATERIALS RECYCLING AND <br />STOCKPILING AS AN INTERIM USE. <br />The City Council of the City of Little Canada hereby ordains: <br />Section 1. <br />Section 900 of the City Code (Zoning Ordinance) is hereby amended <br />by adding the following Section: <br />914 -A. "I -2", GENERAL INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT <br />914- A.O10. PURPOSE. The purpose of the "I -2 ", General <br />Industrial District is to provide for the establishment of <br />warehousing and limited industrial activities, with an emphasis on <br />high standards for building quality, site design and control of <br />nuisance and pollution concerns. <br />914- A.020. PERMITTED USES. <br />A. All permitted uses as allowed in the "S -W" District. <br />B. Laboratories <br />C. The manufacturing, compounding, assembly, packaging, <br />treatment, or storage of products and materials. <br />914- A.030. INTERIM USES. The following are interim uses <br />in the "I -2" District, subject to the issuance of a PUD Interim Use <br />Permit, per the POD procedures as listed in Sections 921 and 923 of <br />this Ordinance. <br />A. Aggregate Materials Stockpiling and /or Recycling, subject <br />to the following conditions: <br />1. The use is found to be consistent with the existing <br />land uses in the area and with the underlying land <br />use plan for the district in which it is located. <br />2. The use is screened with earth berms and <br />landscaping from the adjacent streets to a minimum <br />height of ten feet. <br />Page 11 <br />
