MISSING PLAN ELEMENTS: <br />Land Use Plan <br />For more information on the missing items in the Land Use Plan section, please contact Jim Uttley, AICP, <br />Office of Local Assistance at 651- 602 -1361. References below are to sections or pages in the Local <br />Planning Handbook, May 1997 edition. Seven (7) copies of the following: <br />1. The Plan submittal did not include the required Information Summary for Comprehensive Plan <br />Revisions and Plan Amendments form, found on pages 957 -9.64, in the May 1997 edition of the <br />Local Planning Handbook (Copy of form attached for your use) <br />The plan does not have a table (Worksheet A) that presents information about the existing <br />location, intensity and extent of land uses for the City as a whole. At a minimum, the Little <br />Canada plan must include a table identifying how much land (in acres) is presently found in <br />specific land uses (see LPH, page 3.2 and Worksheet A and Land Use Category Definitions <br />found on pages 9.8-9.10) (A copy of Worksheet A and the Definitions pages are enclosed for <br />your use) <br />3. The plan does not have a map or table (Worksheet B) that presents information about the planned <br />future location, intensity and extent of land uses for the City as a whole. (see LPH, page 3.3 -3.5) <br />(A newly revised Worksheet B is enclosed for your use) <br />4. Existing and future (2010 and 2020) residential density for the community as a whole. <br />Housing <br />For more information on the Housing element, please contact Linda Milashius, Office of Local <br />Assistance, at 651- 602 -1541. References below are to sections of the Local Planning Handbook (LPH), <br />May 1997 edition. Two (2) copies of the following. <br />• See also pages 7 and 8 of the Council's informal review comments letter, dated 2/11/99. <br />• The analysis of housing supply and assessment of housing needs is incomplete -- The plan does not <br />provide a complete needs assessment, specifically nothing on age, condition, value of structures, or <br />data on householders. It does provide information on mix, density and household forecasts. (see <br />LPH, pages 3.9 -3.11) <br />• The plan's goals and policies for housing are incomplete (see LPH. page 3.1 1 -3.12) <br />• The plan should include an implementation section that discusses the methods that the City will use to <br />meet its goals including housing programs, local controls and fiscal devices as it did in its LCA <br />Action Plan, dated June 1996.
