The City Council approved the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan on May 14, 2025, with corresponding action items for each strategic direction. 2025-2030 Strategic Plan Reporting Overview: Four Strategic Directions were developed as part of the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan. Within each Strategic Direction are Action Items and Key Outcome Indicators to accomplish the city's goals. To ensure strategic planning initiatives are continuing to fruition, staff established a recurring meeting every six weeks and plan to provide City Council with updates regarding the status of the action items quarterly at a City Council meeting. Understanding the Progress Reporting Overview Completion status for each action item is being monitored through a percentage tracking system. The status for each item can be broken into categories and is based on 100% as a completion percentage. Completion Percent Tracking Legend • On Track: Work for the action item is on track • Some Delay: Work for the action item is delayed between 1-3 years • Upcoming: Work for the action item is planned and upcoming • Complete: Work for action item is complete and/or now considered on-going • Progressed Paused: Work for action item paused to address other priorities • Not Started: Work on the action item has not started yet • Removed: Action items are no longer a priority. 2025-2030 Strategic Plan Progress Dashboards Users can view the entire strategic plan dashboard and/or each individual Strategic Direction status depending on preference and interest. Action items are outlined in detail in a table-style format, with overall status and responsibility visible in a pie chart. Previous Quarterly Updates • On October 22, 2025, staff presented a 2025 Quarter 3 Status Update • On January 28, 2026, staff presented a 2026 Quarter 1 Status Update 2026 Quarter 2 Status Update: Strategic Direction 1: Delivering Dynamic Spaces Little Canada aims to connect the community by linking trails and sidewalks, as well as creating a community building for public gatherings. The city places a high value on keeping a small-town feel and sense of community. Delivering Dynamic Spaces Action Item Progress • Complete: 46.2% • On-Track: 38.5% • Upcoming: 15.4% Action Item Highlights Six items in the overall strategic plan have been completed, all of which fall under the Delivering Dynamic Spaces Strategic Direction. • Complete community gathering space site work • Design scope of community gathering space • Create a technical advisory committee/ambassadors for community building
