November 12, 1998 <br />Mr. Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />Ms. Kris Pechman, Executive Secretary <br />City of Little Canada <br />Dear Joel and Kris: <br />The haulers of residential solid waste and recycling request an increase in rates effective January 1, 1999. <br />Per the contract Amendment on page 1: <br />The residential dwelling unit price may be subject to revision effective January 1 of each year upon <br />request of the Contractor, with increases or decreases being governed by the corresponding change <br />in the Consumer Price Index (U.S. City average — all items), during the twelve -month period <br />immediately preceding January 1, for which data is available. Any increase is subject to review and <br />approval of the City. <br />The Consumer Price Index for September 1998 is 1.5 %. Copy of index is attached. <br />We are requesting the increase on the net portion of each category.
