Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morel=
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R Hanson
No response has been received from Cinemark as of yet relative to my letter of October 9h.
Other parties have advised me that part of the reason Cinemark is delaying is they may have to
redesign their theater layouts to comply with ADA requirements. In checking with the ADA
office, I have come to learn that this type of issue has not arisen within the last two to three
months and should be well known by those in the theater industry. Therefore, I am not sure how
valid this reason is for the delays we have encountered.
I have discussed the development of the office building with Chris Moarn. He is interested in
pursuing that and is working on a layout that would contain the building within the
Guerin/Budget Power site. At this time, I have no more details to report on this matter as I am
waiting for further information from Mr. Moarn.
Some other parties have expressed interest in this area. I have indicated to them that the City
will play ball with whoever steps to the plate. If they have something specific for us to review,
they should present it and we will act accordingly.
More information may be available at Wednesday's meeting. I will report on it as it becomes
available.
JRH:kpp
Page 18
