STATEMENT TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR LITTLE CANADA CONCERNING GORDIES PLACE September 10th, 1998 Gordies Place, Inc. was issued a Conditional Use Permit (Resolution No. 83 -8- 259) on August 25th, 1993. The conditions of this permit were that volleyball would be only four nights per week, and not after 10:00 P.M. Gordies Place, Inc. did not follow the conditions of that permit and went before the Planning Commission less than three months ago to bring that permit into compliance with what they were doing. Fleur Royale Condominium Association sent a letter to Mr. Cossack, in the spring of 1996, asking him to meet concerning landscaping, which was required by the Conditional Use Permit granted on August 25th, 1993. Mr. Cossack never contacted us to discuss the contents of the letter. Now Mr. Cossack comes before the planning commission to ask for another Conditional Use Permit. This time he states no times or days that the Conditional Use Permit will cover. Is this issuing a blank check to do whatever he wants? Mr. Cossack states that he needs these sporting events to bolster business. As I sit in my living room, or on my deck, I see that a majority of persons bring their own refreshments to the parking lot, not necessarily purchasing from Gordies Place, Inc. I request that this statement be entered into the minutes of this meeting and be presented to the council for their disposition. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation in this matter.
