-3-
-8- Because of all the piles of goose droppings in our yard, it
is drawing some type of flying insect that feeds on these
dropping. This can not be healthy.
-9- We spoke to Dr. James Cooper at the University of Minnesota
who is charge of the goose management program and he told us
that there is a estimated goose population of 25,000 geese in
the metro area. He plans to round -up about 7,000 of these geese
at 100 different sites.
-10- The U.S. District Court Judge James M. Rosenbaum denied a re-
quest by animal rights groups to prevent the round -up as of the
week of June 15, 1998.
-11- I hope you see fit to keep this round -up program in place for
many years until the problem is solved.
Thank You,
es
onald Smith
334+ E.
