515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117-1600
(651) 484 -2177 / FAX: (651) 484 -4538
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: August 21, 1998
RE: Rice Street/Little Canada Road Redevelopment Project Update
MAYOR
Michael I. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Nothing of significance has transpired since the last Council meeting. Mr. Wise is supposed to
be in town on August 271h and 28`h to work on the development agreement. He has not
confirmed specific meeting times with me as of yet. Earlier this week I had asked him to
forward any comments he had on the development agreement or revisions to the lease in writing.
I asked this occur prior to our meetings next week in order that we could be prepared to discuss
them. I have not received that information to -date nor heard from him regarding my request.
As you recall, the Council set a deadline of September 15th to have the lease and development
agreement executed. Based on our lack of progress to -date and Mr. Wise's comments to Mayor
Fahey, it is not likely we will attain that date. Any guidance you can provide me in that respect
will be appreciated.
JRH:kpv
Page 40
