LITTLE CANADA
PARKS AND RECREATION
DEPARTMENT
515 Little Canada Road / Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
Telephone: (612) 484-2177 / Fax: 484-4538
JIM MORELAN, Director
DON BOWMAN, Program Coordinator
DEREK ANDERSON, Program Coordinator
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey and Members of the City Council
FROM:' Jim Morelan, Parks and Recreation Director
DATE: March 20, 1998
RE: Resignation of Howard Remerowski
Parks & Recreation Commission
Please be advised that on March 19, 1998 Howard Remerowski called to advise the City
of his resignation from the Parks & Recreation Commission effective immediately.
Howard has sold his house and will be moving out of the City. Therefore, I am
recommending that the Council accept Howard's resignation.
As you may recall, late last summer, the City advertised several vacancies on the
Commission. Several very qualified individuals submitted applications. Both Muriel
Bianchi and I interviewed these applicants and were very impressed with all of them. All
but one of the applicants were appointed to positions on the Commission.
Therefore, I would request that the Council authorize me to contact Eric Netteberg, the
individual who was not appointed, to determine if he is still interested. (See copy of
resume attached.) If he is interested, I would request the Council appoint Eric to till the
remainder of Howard's term (through the end of 2000). If he is not interested, then I
would ask that the Council authorize advertisement of the Park & Recreation
Commission vacancy.
Page 44
