License period; fees; renewal; transfer of license. <br />Sec. 10-375. - Rules and regulations. <br />Sec. 10 -376. - Violations. <br />Sec. 10 -377. - Revocation, <br />Secs. 10-378-10-405. - Reserved. <br />Sec. 10 -371. - Definitions. <br />The following words, terms and phrases, when used in <br />this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this <br />section, except where the context clearly indicates a different <br />meaning: <br />Kennel means any place which operates to provide for <br />boarding, training, confining or otherwise caring for or <br />providing service to dogs, cats or any other domestic pets. <br />This definition includes any place where more than two female <br />dogs, cats or other domestic pets are kept for breeding <br />purposes. <br />(Code 1982, § 7-176) <br />Cross reference— Definitions generally, § 1 -2. <br />Sec. 10-372. - License required; exceptions. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the <br />business: of operating a kennel within the city, unless such <br />person is licensed under this article.
