<br />Funding Source Amount <br />RIDE Apartments $300,000 <br />Ramsey County Critical Corridors Grant $250,000 <br />Bid Bond Action $27,500 <br />Ramsey County Public Works $86,000 <br />City of Little Canada $86,000 <br />Total <br />(Includes 25% Contingency + Indirect) $749,500 <br /> <br />Ramsey County has been notified of the necessary Contractor change and the associated <br />added project costs and has pledged the additional financial support. <br /> <br />Strategic Priority: <br />The planned corridor enhancements deliver on the following 2030 Strategic Plan objective: <br /> <br />Delivering Dynamic Community Spaces <br />Little Canada desires to connect the community by linking trails and sidewalks and <br />creating a community building for public gatherings. The City places a high value on <br />keeping a small town feel and sense of community. <br /> Source Of Funds: <br />At the May 27, 2026, City Council meeting, the Council authorized a total estimated project <br />cost of $687,500, including the use of Fund 450 to cover the City’s share of project costs, <br />estimated at $68,750. Due to the contractor change, the Council is now asked to approve a <br />revised total estimated project cost of $749,500, with Fund 450 covering the City’s revised <br />share of project costs, estimated at $86,000. <br />Staff Recommendations: <br />Staff recommends the following: <br /> <br />• Rescinding the contract award to Clark Companies. <br />• Awarding the construction contract to Thomas and Sons Construction in the amount of <br />$599,484.20. <br />• Approving the revised total project cost of $749,500, including the use of Fund 450 to <br />cover the City’s share of project costs, estimated at $86,000. <br /> <br />Attachments: <br />• Project Location Map
