CITY OF LITTLE CANADA ELECTRICAL INSPECTION SERVICES AGREEMENT I. Parties. This Agreement is dated the day of , 1998, and is entered into by and between the City of Little Canada, a Minnesota municipal corporation ( "City") and North Metro Inspections, Inc., a Minnesota corporation ( "North Metro "). II. Recitals. The City desires to hire North Metro for electrical inspection services. North Metro, as an independent contractor, will control the means and manner of performing its services; will be paid on a per inspection basis; will furnish its own tools, equipment, office space, and support staff. III. Terms and Conditions. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual undertakings herein expressed, the parties agree: A. Scope of Services. North Metro shall perform electrical inspection services to include the following: 1. Review of electrical plans, review building plans as necessary, and issue electrical permits. 2. Provide all required on -site inspection services in a timely and professional manner and within 24 hours of the date of receipt of a request for inspection. North Metro shall also provide, on a daily basis or at some other interval as determined appropriate by the City's Building Official, a notice indicating when electrical inspections have been completed. 3. Retain all pertinent records and copies of permits and correspondence related to each permit and make such records available to the City upon request. North Metro shall also provide a detailed annual report on forms approved by the City's Administrator that will include an estimate of revenues and expenditures for the succeeding year. 4. Coordinate electrical inspection work through the City's Building Official when other inspection work is also being done on a particular site. 5. Provide the City with a notice if North Metro expands its client base beyond the cities of Roseville, Shoreview, Little Canada, North St. Paul, and North Oaks. Page 1 of 3 Page 37
