FEE PROPOSAL
I. Business Relocation Services
A. Payment in Lieu Claims - $975.00
These claims (payments in lieu of actual expenses ) are less difficult than
claims for actual expenses. Here the claim is based on net earnings of the
business and is capped at $20,000.00 for the overall claim. Often very
small businesses elect to make this claim. This fee assumes approximately
18 hours per claim.
B. Actual Expense Claims - $1,250.00
These claims involve significant documentation and result in higher claims
and more hours of work. For more difficult claims it is not possible to
estimate the number of hours. However, for typical small business claims,
claim work hours are predictable where no complication occur. This fee
assumes approximately 23 hours per claim.
11. Acquisition Services - $500.00
This fee includes typical URA acquisition services which includes up to
four owner contacts. This fee includes required notices and purchase
agreements for closing and closings and /or eminent domain work done by
others.
III. General
A. Hourly Rate - Judith Mlinar and General staff $55.00/h.
Kirk Schnitker $65.00/h.
These hourly rates would be charged for all services where acquisition or
relocation claims work exceeded the fixed fee amounts. For example, for
acquisition work the quoted hourly rate would apply where more than four
owner contacts were necessary. For a large business relocation, for
example, an actual cost claim can involve many unforeseeable hours.
Hourly rates include all reasonable copying, fax, postage, mileage and
secretarial costs. Travel time is charged one way.
Page 39
