MINUTES <br />Parks & Recreation Commission <br />MAY 7, 1998 <br />Smith wanted to know if the City might support the Parks & Rec. Dept. in <br />setting up a web page for the City of Little Canada. <br />ADJOURN <br />A discussion ensued as to who would maintain the web page and Smith said she would be <br />willing to help keep it up to date. Johnson expressed concem regarding the amount of time <br />necessary to keep a web site up to date. <br />Smith made a motion to recommend to the City Council that the Parks and Recreation <br />Department have a web page and expand it to also cover City programs. <br />Glazer seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried 6 -0 with 1 abstention. <br />The Commission agreed to take a tour of the City parks at 6:30 p.m. on June 4, 1998 and <br />come back to the City Center for a short meeting afterwards. <br />Bianchi reported that there was a concern by the Council Member Scalze as to the area picked <br />to place the Bocce Ball Court. Being the area is rather isolated she felt there might be a <br />safety issue for the people playing Bocce Ball and also a potential vandalism problem. The <br />Commission wanted it stated that the concerns were duly noted, but after discussing the <br />matter, the Commission decided not to take any contrary action. <br />Anderson made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. <br />Motion seconded by Bianchi. <br />Motion carried 7 -0. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:10. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Paula Schaefer <br />5 <br />Page 1 <br />
