Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scaize
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMJMSTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
AMF Bowling Worldwide is in the process of purchasing the Saxon Lanes and is
requesting the transfer of licenses from Harvey Anderson, current owner of the Saxon, to
AMF. AMF anticipates closing on the purchase on May 28, 1998, and would begin
operating the Saxon Lanes as soon as the licenses could be transferred into their name.
Attached are the appropriate application forms. Sheriffs Department background checks
are pending, and I have requested a corrected Certificate of Liquor Liability Insurance
certificate which would show coverage dates through June 30, 1999.
If the Council chooses to approve this transfer, staff would request the Council first
transfer the current licenses from Harvey Anderson to AMF Bowling Worldwide, and
then approve renewal of these licenses for the license period July 1, 1998 through June
30, 1999.
Should the closing not occur, the license transfer will not be forwarded on to the State
Liquor Control Division, and Mr. Anderson will request renewal of his licenses at one of
the June Council meetings.
Page 43
