<br /> <br />Additional requirements include: <br />• Applicants must be served by a municipal water supply system <br />• Replacement appliances only; new construction and developments are ineligible <br />• Portion of cost must be paid by the property owner <br />• Funds are for rebates and grants only; consulting and staff time are ineligible <br />• Grant recipients must display the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment logo and <br />the Metropolitan Council logo on program-related web pages and other <br />communications <br />• Grant activities on municipal properties must supplement and not supplant dedicated <br />municipal funding sources. <br /> <br />The city has designed the program to incorporate the criteria listed above and has built an <br />application process that is available online and at City Hall. This program is designed to be on <br />a first-come, first-served basis for the following items: <br /> <br />Residential Properties <br />• Up to $200 or 75% of the project cost, whichever is less, when replacing: washers, <br />toilets, dishwashers, irrigation controllers, sprinkler bodies, irrigation audits <br />• Up to $100 or 75% of the project cost, whichever is less, when replacing: showerheads, <br />faucets <br /> <br />Commercial Properties <br />• Up to $500 or 75% of the project cost, whichever is less, when replacing: washers, <br />dishwashers, irrigation controllers, sprinkler bodies, irrigation audits <br />• Up to $200 or 75% of the project cost, whichever is less, when replacing: toilets, <br />urinals <br />• Up to $100 or 75% of the project cost, whichever is less, when replacing: showerheads, <br />faucets <br /> <br />Municipal Properties <br />• Up to $1,000 or 75% of the project cost, whichever is less, when converting existing <br />turfgrass to low-input landscaping/drought-tolerant alternative turf <br />• Up to $200 or 75% of the project cost, whichever is less, when replacing: toilets, <br />urinals <br />• Up to $100 or 75% of the project cost, whichever is less, when replacing: showerheads, <br />faucets <br />• The grant agreement outlines that for municipal projects, prevailing wage laws may <br />apply. Staff will continue to analyze possible impacts. <br /> <br />The program will be promoted through the city's website, utility bill inserts, newsletters, social <br />media platforms, and other public outreach efforts in accordance with grant requirements. All <br />communications will include the required Clean Water Fund and Metropolitan Council <br />acknowledgments and logos. <br /> <br />As part of the grant process, the City Council needs to approve a resolution authorizing the <br />execution of the agreement. Once authorized and signed, all materials will be submitted to the <br />Met Council for final execution. The agreement has been reviewed by legal staff. <br /> <br />Strategic Priority: <br />N/A
