MN DOT <br />PROJECT — <br />MN PASS <br />LANE <br />MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEMBER 19, 2012 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 19th day of <br />November, 2012 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at <br />515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />City Administrator <br />MN DOT <br />MN DOT <br />MN DOT <br />Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Ms. Shelly Boss <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />Ms. Jennie Read <br />Mr. Wayne Norris <br />Mr. Scott McBride <br />Blesener reported that a public hearing to consider the granting of <br />municipal consent for MN DOT Project #SP 6280 -367, the addition <br />of a MNPASS lane in each direction on I -35E from Maryland Avenue <br />to Little Canada Road, will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. <br />The purpose of this workshop meeting is to review with MN DOT the list <br />of conditions that Little Canada is seeking in order to grant municipal <br />consent. <br />Jennie Read, MN DOT, presented an overview of the entire project scope <br />as well as a summary of the work that will be done on I35E in Little <br />Canada. Essentially, the project involves the addition of a center high <br />occupancy toll lane that can be used by buses, car poolers, and single - <br />occupancy vehicles for a fee. The project will also include bridge <br />replacements, lane additions in designated areas, noise barrier additions, <br />and an unbonded overlay of lane surfaces. <br />The City Administrator reviewed the list of conditions for granting <br />municipal consent, and noted that there may be additional conditions as <br />the review process progresses.
