MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JANUARY 9, 2013
Administrator indicated that there would be additional charges to property
owners who needed to upgrade their service to accept an underground
connection. However, should property owners not wish to upgrade their
services, poles could be placed further back into the yard and an overhead
line run from the pole to the house.
The Council discussed the fact that the City does not have the option of
obtaining bids for this work and is subject to whatever Xcel Energy says
the work costs. There was some discussion about raising this subject with
the Public Utilities Commission.
The Council again discussed the high cost of burying the power lines and
requested that the City Administrator put together some options relative to
a combination of City funds and CRFS funds to cover the cost. The City
Administrator reported that he will submit some options for the Council to
consider at its next meeting. McGraw requested that the Council be
presented with this information as soon as it is available so they can have
adequate time to consider the issue.
ADJOURN There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
Attes : ,G /c
William Bleseiier, Mayor
lanson, City Administrator
10
