The Administrator reported that the City receives
complaints on these issues; and in enforcing the Code, staff has found
several inconsistencies. The Administrator also noted that there are
provisions in the Code that allow for the paving of parking areas up to
three feet from the property line. Storage is not allowed on a paved area
that is three feet from the property line; however, once paved, property
owners will store on that surface. The Administrator stated that based on
the complaints the City receives, staff felt it was time to review this
ordinance. The Administrator also noted that staff has provided some
photos which show various situations the codes would apply to.
