815. LAWFUL GAMBLING <br />815.010. LAWFUL GAMBLING. The City of Little Canada hereby <br />reserves all rights to regulate lawful gambling, as provided in <br />Chapter 349 of the Laws of the State of Minnesota, and all <br />subsequent amendments thereto, including the right to approve <br />premises permits or bingo hall licenses for lawful gambling subject <br />to whatever conditions the City Council deems necessary to protect <br />the public health, safety, and welfare. Lawful gambling is <br />permitted in the City of Little Canada if the organization <br />conducting the lawful gambling meets the following criteria: <br />1. Meets the requirements of Minn. Stat. Sect. 349.16(b) <br />through (h) and is duly licensed by the Minnesota <br />Gambling Control Board. <br />2. Has maintained an address within the City for at least <br />three years prior to the application. This requirement <br />may be waived for an existing organization which does not <br />comply with this requirement if approved by the City <br />Council at the time of the license renewal immediately <br />subsequent to the passage of this Ordinance. <br />3. Complies with all of the provisions of this Ordinance and <br />State law. <br />4. Provides confirmation that no officer or member of the <br />governing body of the organization has been convicted in <br />State or Federal Court of a felony or gross misdemeanor <br />within five (5) years immediately prior to the issuance <br />of the license or has ever been convicted of a crime <br />involving gambling or has had a license issued by the <br />Board or Director revoked for violation of Law or Board <br />Rule regulating lawful gambling. <br />5. Provides confirmation that no director, member, employee <br />or consultant of the organization has been convicted in <br />State of Federal Court of a felony or gross misdemeanor <br />involving theft, dishonesty or false statement, or <br />involving the sale or possession of a controlled <br />substance within five (5) years immediately prior to the <br />issuance of the license or has ever been convicted of a <br />crime involving gambling or has had a license issued by <br />the Board or Director revoked for violation of Law or <br />Board Rule regulating lawful gambling. <br />815.015. NUMBER OF LICENSES AND PERMITS. <br />(A) The maximum number of bingo hall licenses within the City <br />shall be one (1). The license shall be limited to the <br />location and to the owner specified on a license. Any <br />change of location or ownership without <br />PAGE 1 <br />
