The following
are the results of that survey:
Arden Hills - 2 dogs allowed in a single - family residence.
3 dogs allowed with a kennel license - but no more than 3
dogs. Animal Control would inspect the property.
Falcon Heights
licensing.
Little Canada
licensing.
Maplewood - 2 dogs allowed. 3 dogs allowed with a kennel
permit - but no more than 3 dogs. Council approval of
kennel permit required. Neighbors within a specified
distance must indicated that they do not oppose the permit.
Animal control inspects the property.
Roseville - 3 dogs allowed. No provision for kennel
licensing.
Vadnais Heights - 2 dogs allowed. Kennel licensing by
Special Use Permit.
- 3 dogs allowed. No provision for kennel
- 3 dogs allowed. No provision for kennel
Also attached for your information is a 1991 survey done by the
City of Blaine.
Council also asked that I research the record regarding Council
action in 1984 deleting the kennel licensing provision from the
Code. Attached are the minutes from that action. Please note
that the only background material which was given to the Council
on this matter was an application for a kennel license from a
property owner on Edgerton and a copy of the existing code. I
have attached those documents for your review.
Page 46
