MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MARCH 12, 1997
ensure the representations made by Dominium that The Provinces would
be 40% affordable housing are met.
Scalze felt the previous Councils which zoned land in the City for
apartment complexes did not envision what would happen in the future
with tax credits being tied to affordable housing. Scalze also indicated she
was uncomfortable with the way Dominium has been corresponding with
the tenants at The Provinces, and felt the City should be corresponding
directly with these residents.
Fahey felt, if necessary, the City should rescind any prior approvals based
on misrepresentations made by Dominium. Fahey suggested the
letter wait until after the Council meeting so the residents can be informed
about the action the Council takes. Fahey instructed the Administrator to
obtain a list of tenants' names and addressed from Dominium.
SEWER & The City Administrator reviewed his recommendation that there be no
WATER increase in sewer rates for 1997, and that water rates be increased by
RATES 11 cents per thousand gallons.
