I have highlighted the changes which consist of an attempt to clarify
the intent of the Ordinance. There was concern that the language as drafted had tended
to encourage accessory sheds in the side yards, instead of discourage them. i have
added some expressions of intent. However, some of the changes proposed would have
potentially left confusion as to shed setback (in subd. a.) and location in the side yard
without a CUP (in subd. b.). Therefore, 1 have left the basic language Intact.
In addition, there was discussion as to the requirement for "architectural compatibility",
given the Counors belief that the sheds were to be screened from the street. Nonetheless,
I have left this requirement in, since sheds could be taller than fences, or visible from other
points in the neighborhood.
cc: Kathy Glanzer
Greg Schmidt
5775 WAYZATA BOULEVARD, SUITE 55 ST.
