MINUTES CITY COUNCIL FEBRUARY 26, 1997 open. Scalze indicated that visibility from the street is an issue and felt sheds adjacent to the side of a house should be permanently screened from the road. Morelan indicated he had no objection to a nice - looking shed placed next to a house. Scalze suggested the City Planner rework the ordinance and develop some additional standards for a CUP. Scalze also suggested that in developing future ordinances, those ordinances be sent to the Planning Commission after the Council has had the opportunity to review the final draft. There was no one from the general public present wishing to speak on this matter. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 97 -2 -42 - TABLING ACTION ON THE ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 902.010 AND 903.020 OF THE LITTLE CANADA CITY CODE ESTABLISHING PROVISIONS FOR THE REGULATION OF ACCESSORY SHEDS AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY PLANNER TO REWORK THE ORDINANCE EXPANDING THE CRITERIA FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (4) LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen, Morelan. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. Pedersen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 97 -2 -43 - CONTINUING THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ACCESSORY SHED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT UNTIL THE MARCH 26, 1997 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. Ayes (4) Pedersen, Morelan, Scalze, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ZONING Scalze opened the public hearing to consider adoption ORDINANCE of an ordinance relating to antennas, satellite dishes, TEXT and towers. It was noted that the Planning Commission AMENDMENT - recommended approval of the ordinance with the ANTENNAS additional provision that antenna co- locations be AND TOWERS allowed by administrative permit. 5 Page 29
