515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(612) 484 -2177 / FAX: (612) 484 -4538
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel R. Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: April 18, 1997
RE: Dominium Tax Credit Issue
MAYOR
Michael 1. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
As of yet, I have not received any written information from Dominium relative to our discussions
at Wednesday's workshop meeting. The outcome discussed at Wednesday's workshop was for
the City to approve a 65% tax credit level for the Provinces. My recommendation is that formal
approval of the desired tax credit level be tied to commitments on the part of Dominium to
complete all planned rehabilitation work in a timely fashion. (The nature of the work remaining
should be specified.)
We have also requested the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department to prepare an analysis of calls
for service to the various multiple family dwelling units within the City of Little Canada. We
hope to have this information available for Wednesday's meeting.
JRH:kpv
Page 81
