ITEM NO. 2 / PROJECT STATEMENT <br />The owner proposes to remodel and expand this facility in several ways: <br />1. Convert the existing main building to be an all sales facility, including an contractor sales <br />area which has some offices. Preliminary plan of this remodeled area is attached. <br />Warehouse storage now in this building will be moved to the new commodity storage <br />building located between the two existing commodity storage buildings (see #2 below) <br />2. A new 24,000 sf commodity storage building. The street frontage north facade of this <br />pre- engineered building will be faced with 'rockface' concrete block and wood siding. <br />Preliminary plan of this building is attached. <br />3. A new 21,000 sf millwork assembly building is proposed to be built to the east of the <br />current south commodity storage building. Preliminary plan of this building is attached. <br />This will be a pre- engineered metal building. Its street frontage is screened from the <br />street by existing commodity storage line sheds. This facility will house millwork <br />assembly operations that includes some cutting or drilling of various components. <br />4. The existing south commodity storage building will be remodeled to include two offices <br />for contractor sales support. Preliminary plan of this building is attached. <br />5. The three line commodity sheds on the east of the site will be remodeled to accomodate <br />the access drive proposed along -the east property line. A bay will be removed from the <br />east end of each shed and put on the west end of the same shed. See attached site plan <br />new configuration. <br />6. There will be additional changes as noted on the site plan. The parking areas will be <br />restriped as shown. There will be modifications to the existing lighting. Some fencing <br />will be removed and new fencing will be built. <br />The remodeling and additions proposed will result in a facility better able to serve the <br />community. There would be no negative impact to the community resulting from the proposed <br />changes. There is adequate infrastructure to accomodate these additions. <br />Page 104 <br />
