MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MAY 8, 1997 <br />Montour recommended approval of the amendment to Planned Unit <br />Development allowing the remodeling of existing buildings, construction <br />of a new 24,000 square foot commodity storage building, construction of a <br />new 21,000 square foot millwork assembly building, as well as other <br />miscellaneous site improvements as proposed by Knox Lumber for their <br />property at 3203 Country Drive subject to compliance with the <br />recommendations of the City Planner as outlined in his report dated May <br />6, 1997. <br />Motion seconded by Knudsen. <br />Motion carried 5 — 0. <br />COMP PLAN The City Planner reported that he has been reviewing the City's <br />AMENDMENT Comprehensive Plan amendment with the Metropolitan Council. The Met <br />Council is insisting on some additions to the plan which are basically <br />engineering studies and storm water studies that have been done by the <br />Watershed. The Planner reported that the Met Council has published its <br />new growth strategies for the region and are requiring all cities update <br />their plan to incorporate this regional data. The Planner reported that he <br />will present these amendments to the Planning Commission within the <br />next couple of months. <br />RICE STREET/ DeLonais updated the Commission on the Laurent/Parks Company's <br />LITTLE redevelopment concept for the Rice Street/Little Canada Road area <br />CANADA which was presented to the Council last Monday. <br />ROAD <br />REDEVELOP- <br />MENT <br />ADJOURN <br />Keis recommended the meeting be adjourned. <br />Motion seconded by Knudsen. <br />Motion carried 5 — 0. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:27 P.M. <br />Resp ct ted, <br />a Gluier <br />Administrative Assistant <br />13 <br />Page 120 <br />
