8 -1d -1995 10:59PM FROM P_2 <br />SUBJECT: Proposed United States Conference of Mayors Resolution <br />Regarding Local Authority over the Placement of Personal <br />Wireless Service Facilities <br />Attached please find a resolution calling on the United States Conference of <br />Mayors (USCM) affirming the authority of local governments over decisions <br />regarding the placement, construction and modification of personal wireless <br />service facilities, including monopoles and towers and opposing the actions of <br />the Federal Communications Commission which are designed to limit, remove, <br />or in any way alter the authority of local governments to make decisions <br />regarding the placement, construction and modification of personal wireless <br />service facilities, including monopoles and towers. The City of Cerritos is <br />proposing to submit this resolution for consideration by the USCM at their <br />65th Annual Meeting on June 20 - 24, 1997. We would like to know if your <br />jurisdiction would support this resolution. <br />One of our city staff members will be following up this fax with a telephone <br />call after you have had a chance to review the resolution..
