OLD FIRE HALL <br />RENTAL RULES AND REGULATIONS <br />The following rules and regulations have been implemented by the City of Little Canada <br />in association with private rentals of the lower level of the Old Fire Hall. <br />Application Process <br />Reservations may be made by telephone or in person at the Little Canada City Center. <br />A reservation request is held for five (5) working days at which time, the application <br />form and application fee are due in the Parks & Recreation Office. If the application <br />form and fee are not received within five (5) working days, your reservation is cancelled. <br />Rental Fees; Security/Damage Deposit <br />The rental fee for the lower level of the Old Fire Hall is $75.00 for a six -hour time slot <br />and $10.00 for each additional hour after the initial six hours. No application for use <br />shall be accepted by the City unless the rental fee has been paid. The rental fee shall be <br />refundable in full only if cancellation notice is given 90 days prior to event. <br />A Security/Damage Deposit of $100 is required, separate from the rental fee. This fee <br />shall be returned within one week of the event if no deductions are necessary. This fee is <br />due along with the rental fee. <br />Cancellation <br />a. By Renter: <br />Renter may cancel this Permit Agreement by giving written notice to the City. If notice <br />is received by the City 90 or more days prior to the Date of Use, all fees paid to the City <br />shall be refunded to Renter. If notice is received by the City less than 90 days before the <br />Date of Use, the City shall retain a $25 application fee. <br />b. By City: <br />The City reserves the right to cancel this Permit Agreement up to 48 hours prior to the <br />Date of Use, or at any time when a state of emergency is declared by the City or unsafe <br />environmental conditions exist in the opinion of the City, or if utility services are <br />interrupted. In such an event, Renter agrees that the City shall have no responsibility or <br />liability for any disruption or damages or loss which Renter may suffer or incur due to <br />such cancellation. The City will attempt to notify Renter as soon as possible if such <br />cancellation is necessary. All fees paid to the City shall be refunded to the Renter if this <br />Permit Agreement is cancelled pursuant to this paragraph. <br />c. By Emergency: <br />The Old Fire Hall is the City's designated storm/emergency shelter. In the event of a <br />storm event or similar emergency, the lower level will be made available to the general <br />public, regardless of whether or not the facility has been rented for another purpose. <br />Page 43 <br />
