Tangen, Public Works Director
DATE: August 8, 1997
RE: Fill Permit for Preferred Sheet Metal - 90 Woodlynn Avenue
MAYOR
Michael I. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
I have visited the above - referenced site and find that the filling operation has already begun.
(See attached pictures.) Therefore, I am unable to accurately determine the number of cubic
yards. We will have to assume that the attached drawings are correct. The drawings show a
five -foot separation between the toe of the fill and the existing fence. Currently the fill has been
placed up against the fence. Jack McGrath with Preferred Sheet Metal has contacted NSP
regarding the easement and NSP has approved it subject to certain conditions. (See attached.)
I recommend we issue the fill peiIUit subject to NSP's restrictions, maintaining a five -foot
separation between the existing fence on the east and the south sides and the toe of the fill,
maintaining a maximum slope on the east and south sides of one to one, and establishing
vegetation on the finished slope as soon as grading work is completed.
SRT:kpv
Enclosures
Page 35
