MAYOR
Bill Blesener
COUNCIL
Rick Montour
John Keis
Michael McGraw
Shelly Boss
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(651) 766 -4029 / FAX: (651) 766 -4048 ADMINISTRATOR
www.ci.little- canada.mn.us Joel R. Hanson
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Blesener and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: February 8, 2013
RE: MnPass Municipal Consent
Attached is the draft resolution staff prepared at the end of 2012 after our meeting with
Mr. Wayne Norris of MnDot. Also attached is a letter he provided me yesterday. I did
meet with Wayne and Jennie Read to review this and some modifications were made.
The issues unresolved include our recovery of the bridge money though a MnDot
cooperative agreement with Ramsey County, pedestrian ramps on the LC Road Bridge,
and the Memorandum of Understand provisions. Wayne said MnDot needs to know
where the county stands on those issues before making a commitment. I did put a call in
to the County Engineer, but have not heard back as of yet.
Staff will continue to work on this matter prior to Wednesday's meeting. The draft
resolution could be modified depending on the discussions with Ramsey County. Jennie
and Wayne will also be at our workshop at 6:30 to have further discussions prior to the
Council meeting.
It is important to note that we need to take action at this meeting (or else have a special
meeting) to stay within the 90 days allowed from our hearing held November 28t .
cc: Jim Tolaas, Ramsey County Engineer
