Hanson
Attached is the proposed contract with the Little Canada Fire Department for 2013. This
document has not yet received their approval, but I'm hopeful that will be obtained by
Wednesday night. Here are the key changes to the document:
• Added reference to medical first responder starting sometime in 2013 per
previous discussions.
• Modified calls for service to not limit it to "fire" only.
• Modified contract amount to reflect 2013 approved budget ($298,819).
• Modified insurance /indemnity language in provision #8 to include language
recommended by the League of Minnesota Cities' Insurance Trust (highlighted in
red).
• Added a provision to document Fire Department's commitment to aid in funding
of Fire Equipment Replacement Fund.
• Modified capital and reserve needs amount to reflect 2013 budget.
Subject to any comments /modifications by the [RFD, staff would recommend approval
of the contract as presented.
cc: LCFD
1
