ice 2W14 cmaKat.
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(612) 484 -2177 / FAX: (612) 484 -4538
October 3, 1997
TO: Mayor Fahey and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
RE: Arcade Street Project Assessment Hearing
MAYOR
Michael 1. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morel=
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Enclosed is the resolution declaring cost to be assessed and ordering preparation of the
assessment roll. You will note that the blanks have not been filled in as we are awaiting
final computation of the related numbers. Paul Heuer has informed me that irrespective
of the sod versus seed issue, we will be at the capitation rate for this project of $45 per
lineal foot for the street assessment. He also informed me that the water main assessment
appears to be coming in less than what was discussed at the improvement hearing.
Complete details will be available for Wednesday's meeting.
I am also enclosing information relative to the initial discussion of the seed versus sod
issue. You will note on the submittal form from the residents, we indicated their vote
would be used by the City Council in making a decision on this matter. There was no
indication that this vote was binding on the Council.
Page 21
