In the process of developing the policy, the County
Manager's Office asked for input from municipalities and the League of Minnesota Cities. The
Board of Commissioners is now requesting comments on the final policy from all interested
Ramsey County municipalities and the public.
Please review the enclosed policy and send your written comments to:
Jim Theurer
Office of the County Manager
Policy & Planning Division
15 West Kellogg Blvd., #250
St. Paul, MN 55102
Comments must be received by October 7. Please be advised that the County understands that
municipalities have zoning authority and towers, poles or antennas for telecommunications on
County -owned property would require municipal zoning approval prior to County Board
approval of the lease. The County however, has been approached by various providers about
using its property for towers and antenna networks and is interested in establishing a
consistent policy for all County -owned property.
If you need any additional information, please contact Jim or me at 266 -8000.
Thank you for your comments.
Yours Truly,
Lak/Z4
Barbara E.
