Tangen, Public Works Director <br />DATE: September 4, 1997 <br />RE: Vacation of a Portion of Viking Drive Road Right -of -Way <br />I have reviewed the above - referenced survey and find the following: <br />MAYOR <br />Michael L Fahey <br />COUNCIL <br />Beverly Scalze <br />Jim LaValle <br />Steve Morelan <br />Bob Pedersen <br />ADMINISTRATOR <br />Joel R. Hanson <br />There is a 12 -inch sanitary sewer line that passes directly through the proposed area to be <br />vacated. Additionally, there are two water mains (an 8 -inch and a 16 -inch) that parallel <br />the proposed area. The water mains do not appear to present a problem. If the area was <br />vacated, they would still fall within the Viking Drive right -of -way. However, the <br />sanitary sewer line will require a permanent easement.
