Signs may not <br />measure more than four (4) square feet in <br />Residential Districts, nor more than twenty <br />(20) square feet in all other districts. <br />There shall be only one (1) sign per premise. <br />Corner properties, however, may contain two <br />(2) signs, one (1) per frontage. <br />h. Directional /Information Signs. <br />(1) On-Premise Signs. Shall not be larger <br />than four (4) square feet. The number of <br />said signs shall not exceed four (4) <br />unless approved by the City Council. <br />(2) Off-Premise Signs. Said signs shall be <br />limited to situations where access is <br />questionable and /or confusing and <br />resulting traffic safety may be <br />jeopardized or traffic inappropriately <br />utilizes residential, minor streets. <br />Said sign shall require a conditional use <br />permit as approved by the City Council. <br />The size of the sign shall be determined <br />by the City Council and shall contain no <br />advertising. <br />2. Prohibited Signs. The following signs are <br />specifically prohibited by this Ordinance. <br />a. Any sign which obstructs the vision of drivers <br />or pedestrians, or detracts from the <br />visibility of any official control device. <br />b. Any sign which contains or initiates an <br />official traffic sign or signal, except for <br />private, on- premise directional signs. <br />c. Any sign which moves or rotates. Exempted are <br />time and temperature information and barber <br />poles. <br />d. Except for holiday signs and exceptions <br />provided in provision C, 4. below, any sign <br />which contains or consists of banners, <br />pennants, ribbons, streamers, strings of light <br />bulbs, spinners, or similar devices. <br />e.
