Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
My November 21, 1997 memo to the Mayor & City Council regarding the award of demolition for this
structure is to be disregarded. The work will now be awarded to Veit & Company at a total price of
$4,695. Thomas Contracting has indicated they could not do the work for this price and the work they
had done to -date would not cost the City anything. They therefore recommended that Veit proceed with
the project.
Veit will do the work including well capping and complete removal of the house, garage, and foundation
within the next two weeks. Specifications similar to the demolition at 20 Little Canada Road West will
be followed.
I apologize for any inconvenience the lack of clarity in my quotation process created for each of you. The
efforts both of you have made on our behalf are appreciated. I look forward to doing business with both
of you in the future.
Sincerely,
2
. Hanson
Administrator
JRH:kpv
P.S. Should my understanding of either of your perspectives be in error, please advise me at once.
Page 9
