Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Attached is a letter prepared by the City Attorney relative to a
violation of our liquor ordinance by MGM Liquor. As stated in
the City Attorney's letter, it is mandatory under the City's
Ordinance that the Council hold a hearing to consider the matter
and take action regarding the violation. The severity of the
action is at your discretion.
As you will recall, a similar violation by another liquor store
was addressed in 1993. At the hearing, the Council imposed a
$100.00 civil penalty, suspending the penalty for one year if
there were no subsequent violations.
It would be staff's recommendation that the Council call for a
hearing to consider and take action on the MGM violation for
Wednesday, April 10, 1996.
cc: John Lanners, F.T.L. Corporation dba MGM Liquor
Page 13
