MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council
From: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
Re: Review of Streetscape Proposals
Proposals for Streetscape Design Services for the Rice
Street /Little Road area were received today from three firms.
They are:
* Dahlgren, Shardlow & Uban
* Hoisington Koegler Group, Inc.
* Sanders Wacker Wehrman Bergly, Inc.
In the RFP distributed, I indicated we would move quickly in the
review of these proposals. The firms were told we would try to
interview the top two to three firms during the week of April
15th. We should then be in a position to have a recommendation
for selection ready for the City Council by our April 24th
meeting.
The Council will have to decide if the entire body wants to be
involved in the selection /interview process. At a minimum, I
would like two elected officials to assist in this regard. I
would also like to see the Public Works Director included in this
process. We may also want to include Rusty Fifield, Steve
Grittman, and Jerry Bourdon given their involvement in the
implementation of the final program.
I would like the Council to decide on a committee structure and
an interview date for review of the candidates preferably
Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
