MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />FEBRUARY 1, 1996 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of <br />the Parks & Recreation Commission of the City of Little <br />Canada, Minnesota was held on the 1st day of February, 1996 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Hall located at 515 East <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair Karen Johnson presided and called the meeting to order <br />at 7:33 p.m. and the following members of the Commission were <br />present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />Ms. Karen Johnson, Chair <br />Mr. Howard Remerowski <br />Ms. Pat Ables <br />Mr. Troy Rajanen <br />Mr. Tom Holm <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Ms. Colleen Doolittle <br />Mr. Jim Greger <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />Mr. Scott Tangen, Public Works Director <br />Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant <br />Ms. Mary Granley, Rec. Secretary <br />MINUTES Remerowski recommended that the minutes of the January 4, 1996 <br />meeting be approved as read. <br />Motion seconded by Ables. <br />Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />SCOTT TANGEN Johnson introduced and welcomed new Public Works Director <br />Scott Tangen. The City Administrator gave a synopsis of the <br />required job duties for this position, and Tangen reviewed his <br />previous duties as a Project Manager in the Engineering <br />Department for the City of West St. Paul. <br />DENERY PROP- Ken Gust, an engineer representing the developer of the Denery <br />ERTY property, presented the preliminary plat for "Stoneridge ", the <br />lea proposed development. <br />Sanders, assisted by Gust, clarified which portions of land <br />are wetland, which are earmarked for park land, which are <br />proposed to be dedicated in lieu of a park fee, which are <br />proposed to be bought by the City from the Denery landowners, <br />and which are proposed to be sold by the City to the Denery <br />landowners. <br />The City Administrator detailed the concept of the land <br />"trade" as initially discussed, emphasizing this information <br />is presented without benefit of a purchase agreement.
