City of Little Canada, Minnesota <br />Ordinance <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 902 AND 918 OF THE LITTLE CANADA <br />CITY CODE, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY ESTABLISHING <br />PROVISIONS FOR THE OPERATION OF COMMERCIAL RECREATION USES IN THE <br />INDUSTRIAL PARK DISTRICT. <br />The City Council of the City of Little Canada hereby ordains: <br />Section 1. <br />Section 902.010 A.180. is hereby amended by adding the following: <br />180.a. Sports and Health Club. A business offering physical <br />fitness facilities and programs, sports activities, <br />lessons, and /or practice facilities to the public or to <br />private membership under the supervision of an attendant, <br />including exercise programs, swimming pools, racquet <br />courts, batting cages, gymnasiums, or other similar <br />facilities. Self- service or coin - operated games are not <br />included within the meaning of this use. <br />Section 2. <br />Section 918.020.A. is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />A. All permitted uses as allowed in the "B -W" District with the <br />exception of building material sales or as modified by the <br />requirements of Section 918.040, Conditional Uses. <br />Section 3. <br />Section 918.040. is hereby amended by adding the following: <br />F. Commercial recreation uses (not including establishments <br />serving alcoholic beverages) limited to Bowling Alleys, Dance <br />Halls, Skating, Theater (Indoor Only), and Sports and Health <br />Clubs, provided that: <br />1. The architectural appearance and functional plan of the <br />building and site shall not be so dissimilar to the <br />existing buildings or area so as to cause impairment in <br />property values or preclude conversion to another land <br />use permitted in the Zoning District. <br />2. Adequate off - street parking and loading is provided in <br />compliance with the Zoning Ordinance standards. Said <br />parking and loading requirements shall be evaluated <br />according to both the needs of the proposed use, and <br />Page 7 <br />
