Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morel=
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
The City of Little Canada is requesting permission to place a new City Center monument /ID
sign near the intersection of Little Canada Road and Noel Drive. We have also placed
flagpoles in this location (see diagram attached). A portion of our flagpole arrangement and
the sign would be located within Ramsey County's road right -of -way. In this case, the right -
of -way exceeds the standard 66 foot width. I have discussed this matter with Joe Peroutka
and he has indicated that sign and flagpole placement is permissible subject to a letter from
the City indicating we accept all responsibility and liability associated with the sign and
flagpoles.
Therefore, I am hereby formalizing my request to you with the commitment on the part of the
City of Little Canada that we will accept all responsibility for liability and maintenance
associated with the sign and flagpole placement on County road right -of -way. This letter has
been authorized by the Little Canada City Council as indicated in Resolution
. I am also requesting a letter from the County documenting that the
proper permission has been granted.
Should you have any comments or questions regarding this matter, please let me know.
Thanks for your help!
Sincerely,
Joel R.
