7 -93 -1996 1:19PM FROM SWEENEY BORER OSTROW 223 5289 <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A MORATORIUM ON THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF TELEVISION, RADIO, OR TELEPHONE TRANSMISSION OR <br />RECEIVING FACILITIES OF CERTAIN HEIGHTS IN ALL ZONING DISTRICTS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1, <br />P. 3 <br />A Moratorium Ordinance Relating to all Zoning Districts <br />Within the City of Little Canada. <br />(A) Purpose and Intent. The City of Little Canada has <br />adopted a Comprehensive Plan and zoning text, pursuant to M.S. <br />Sections 462.351 and following, and the Little Canada City <br />council has directed the staff to conduct a study relating to the <br />placement and construction of all television, radio, or telephone <br />transmission or receiving facilities, which exceed the height <br />limits established in the various zoning districts and which are <br />less two hundred (200) feet in height, as described in Section <br />903.100E. of the Little Canada Zoning Code, for the purpose of <br />considering possible amendments of the Comprehensive Plan or <br />zoning text relating to the same. <br />(8) Pursuant to M.S. Section 462.355, Subd. 4, this interim <br />ordinance, for the purpose of protecting the planning process and <br />the health, safety, and welfare of Little Canada citizens, hereby <br />prohibits the construction or placement of the above described <br />facilities within all zoning districts of the City of Little <br />Canada. This prohibition shall not preclude the collocation of <br />equipment on towers and facilities that exist or have been <br />approved prior to the adoption of this interim ordinance. <br />(C) This moratorium shall be in effect for a period of six <br />(6) months after the date of publication of this ordinance. <br />PASSED by the City Council of Little Canada this day of <br />, 1996. — <br />ATTEST: <br />Joel R.
