AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A MORATORIUM ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF TELEVISION, RADIO, OR TELEPHONE TRANSMISSION OR RECEIVING FACILITIES OF CERTAIN HEIGHTS IN ALL ZONING DISTRICTS THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1, P. 3 A Moratorium Ordinance Relating to all Zoning Districts Within the City of Little Canada. (A) Purpose and Intent. The City of Little Canada has adopted a Comprehensive Plan and zoning text, pursuant to M.S. Sections 462.351 and following, and the Little Canada City council has directed the staff to conduct a study relating to the placement and construction of all television, radio, or telephone transmission or receiving facilities, which exceed the height limits established in the various zoning districts and which are less two hundred (200) feet in height, as described in Section 903.100E. of the Little Canada Zoning Code, for the purpose of considering possible amendments of the Comprehensive Plan or zoning text relating to the same. (8) Pursuant to M.S. Section 462.355, Subd. 4, this interim ordinance, for the purpose of protecting the planning process and the health, safety, and welfare of Little Canada citizens, hereby prohibits the construction or placement of the above described facilities within all zoning districts of the City of Little Canada. This prohibition shall not preclude the collocation of equipment on towers and facilities that exist or have been approved prior to the adoption of this interim ordinance. (C) This moratorium shall be in effect for a period of six (6) months after the date of publication of this ordinance.
