Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
The House, formerly known as Sailboard Warehouse, would like to
conduct a special sale event on October 19th. Actual merchandise
sales would take place inside the building, just as currently
occurs. However, as part of the event, The House would like to
have a band in their parking lot and serve hot beverages.
Attached is a letter from Randy Johnson explaining their plans.
In reviewing City Code, it was difficult to find a mechanism for
allowing these outdoor activities to occur. To accommodate the
business, it is staff's recommendation that the matter be
processed as an Entertainment License. The Entertainment License
is an annual license with a fee of $100. Given that this is a
one -day event, staff would suggest the Council approve a
temporary Entertainment License, and either waive or adjust the
fee as you deem appropriate.
Page 100
