(A -M) <br />b) The mean is a measure of central tendency. often called the "average:" The <br />mean percentage increase for each block was calculated by totalling the per- <br />cent increase in assessed value for each house in the block and dividing <br />by the number of houses. <br />c) Standard deviation measures whether individual percentages "cluster" around <br />the mean percentage increase for the block.
