MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
PLANNING COMMISSION
LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA
AUGUST 8, 1996
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of
the Planning Commission of the City of Little Canada,
Minnesota was held on the 8th day of August, 1996 in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall located at 515 East Little
Canada Road in said City.
John Keis chaired and called the meeting to order at
7:30 p.m. and the following members of the Commission were
present at roll call:
MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. John Keis, Chair
Mr. Dennis Carson
Mr. Scott Barraclough
Mr. Dan Knudsen
Mr. Rick Montour
MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Eugene Delonais
Mr. Fred Schletty
ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Steve Grittman, Planner
Ms. Kris VanSchoonhoven, Rec. Secretary
MINUTES There being no changes to the minutes of the July 11, 1996
meeting, they were approved as presented.
STONERIDGE Grittman stated that the Stoneridge Preliminary Plat was
FINAL PLAT approved a few months ago. The final plat reflects the
& VARIANCE intent of the preliminary plat and the negotiations that the
City had with the Parks & Recreation Commission and the
developer in terms of dedicating certain park land and
releasing the previously dedicated park land to allow this
development to proceed.
Grittman stated that the variance is to allow the street
right -of -way to be less than 50 feet. He indicated that the
street access onto County Road D is only 49 feet in width
and there is no way of acquiring additional land.
Ken Gust, representing the developer, stated that he thought
the Public Works Director would be present at tonight's
meeting to discuss final construction plans. He said that
he would like to start getting permits. Grittman stated
that is basically a staff assignment. The Planning
Commission does not need to address those issues.
Carson recommended approval of Stoneridge Addition's street
right -of -way variance from 50 feet to 49 feet.
Motion seconded by Knudsen.
Motion carried 5 - 0.
Page 18
