EXTRACT OF MINUTES <br />OF A MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />SEPTEMBER 11, 1996 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Little Canada, Ramsey County, <br />Minnesota was duly called and held at the City Center of said <br />City on the 11th day of September, 1996 at 7:30 P.M. <br />The following members were present: <br />Morelan, Fahey, LaValle, Pedersen, and Scalze. <br />and the following were absent: None. <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY 1997 <br />TAX LEVY AS PRESENTED BY CITY STAFF <br />WHEREAS, <br />The preliminary 1997 tax levy is as follows: <br />GROSS TAX LEVY $1,903,890 <br />Less: <br />HACA <br />NET TAX LEVY FOR CERTIFICATION <br />AND WHEREAS, <br />402,825 <br />$1,501,065 <br />The Council is required to certify the preliminary tax levy to <br />the County Auditor by September 16, 1996. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE <br />CANADA that the Council hereby approves the preliminary 1997 tax <br />levy of $1,501,065. <br />The adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Council <br />Member and upon vote taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />Fahey, LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, and Scalze; <br />and the following voted against same: None. <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and <br />adopted by the Council this llth day of September, 1996. <br />Page 3 <br />
